My name is Samuel G. Beltz.  I am done with vicarage and now returned to St. Louis.  I am a new father, I am about to, God willing, be place in a Lutheran parish to serve in Word and Sacrament ministry there.

The thoughts collected here are hopefully for our benefit.  Sometimes I am perhaps overly thoughtful of them—to the point they become obscure and uninteresting.  Sometimes they will be poorly thought through.  I have a need to get them out of me.  To stop thinking so much about them or start thinking more.

Most of them concern Lutheran Spirituality and the Practice and Theology connected.  Sometimes other thoughts and experiences will mark the pages.  I pray that all might be done for the Glory of God.
